North Brunswick now uses Community Park for their new course. This park is approximately 1 mile south from the High school. It is located about 1000 ft south from the Rt 130 & Adams Ln intersection. A map for it is here. Community Park Map 5k Drawing
North Brunswick’s course begins and ends on a large grass field. After approximately 250 yards the runners transition to a cinder path. They follow the path completely around the park. This is approximately 2.2 miles. They begin a second loop and continue on the path until they reach a farm house. At the farm farm house on the second loop they make a right and travel straight down a paved road for about an 1/8 of a mile. After they cross over a brook, they make a right, aim straight for a orange cone, turn left and proceed back to the start. Although the course is flat, the grass and cinder make it slower. The 1/8 of a mile on the road has a grass side that can be run on if the runner chooses to wear spikes.
The middle school course is also located at this park. A map for that is here Linwood 1.5 mile Community Park Map. It begins and finishes at the same location on the great lawn located toward the rear of the park. It is run almost entirely on the cinder path. It break off from the path and the end of the soccer fields and returns to the path before the baseball cluster. The total mileage is 1.35 miles.
